“I Will Come To You”
by David J. Stewart
John 14:18, “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
Jesus promised that He would not leave us comfortless as we journey through this temporary world. Every believer has the Spirit of Christ (Romans 8:9). It is comforting to know that the Holy Spirit of God lives within my body as a believer.
No matter what happens in this life, God is with those who have been born-again (Hebrews 13:5). God guides and looks over His own. Most people do not know God. It is sad that so many people go to church; yet they are of the Devil, following the traditions of men instead of obeying the Commandments of God.
I WILL COME TO YOU Jesus promised. What a precious Scripture!
The unsaved find comfort in their booze and drugs. Many commit suicide. As believers we have a wonderful Savior that has promised to come to us in our loneliness and suffering.
When people hurt your feelings, say bad things about you and play the little games that people play... don't let them get you down, you just let it go and place them into God's hands for judgment. God is still on his throne. Jesus said in Matthew 12:36 that people will be held accountable by God for even the words they speak on Judgment Day. No one is going to get away with anything. God will judge believers for every good and bad work (2nd Corinthians 5:10-11). The same is true of the unsaved, who will be cast into the Lake of Fire forever (Revelation 20:11-15).
When I think of the horrible things happening everyday in this world, I pray for the Lord to return soon to put an end to the suffering. Most people don't have it good in this life. So many people are suffering in agonizing pain, poverty and hellish conditions. The suffering in this world is only beginning. The wickedness of humanity is as it was in the days of Noah, before God destroyed the earth by flood. Woe unto the world!
Be comforted if you are a believer on Jesus, the Christ, the Son of God, that Jesus has overcome the world (John 16:33). We are on the winning side! Jesus said I WILL COME TO YOU! Jesus and the Father live within the body of every Christian. Thank God for the gift of the Holy Spirit! John 16:13, “Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.”
