"And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!" —Romans 10:15
There is nothing more important than soulwinning and no one more precious than the soulwinner. The world is filled today with multitudes of religious people, who never do more than attend church and fill up 18" of pew space. Instead of "Standing On The Promises" as sung in the old Gospel Hymn so named; they are "Sitting On The Premises." God never intended for church to be an end in itself.
Certainly, going to church is a good thing, if it's a preaching church. We read in Titus 1:2, "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching..." A church without a man of God who preaches the Truth of God's Word is a dead church. Sadly, most churches today are nothing more than social clubs, spiritual museums, and greedy businesses.
The soul winner is a genuinely born-again Christian who loves the Lord and wants to tell others how to be saved.
Losing One's Soul
Jesus said in Mark 8:35-36, "For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" Jesus was speaking to His disciples in Mark 8:35-36. Christ was NOT speaking about salvation here. He couldn't have. If He were, then salvation would be by works, because Jesus is taking about sacrificing one's life for His sake and the Gospel's. Salvation does not require any sacrifice on our part (Ephesians 2:8,9). It is important to realize that eternal life is a free gift, obtained freely without works (Romans 4:5; Revelation 22:17).
What does it mean to lose one's soul? A person can go to Heaven, but still be sad and sorrowful because of their failures while on earth (1st Corinthians 3:15; 2nd Corinthians 5:10). We read in Revelation 21:4 that all tears won't be wiped away until AFTER the 1,000 Millennial reign of Christ from Jerusalem. Those carnal believers who wasted their life in selfishness, choked by the cares and riches of this temporal world (Luke 8:14), will weep bitter tears of regret and sadness at the Judgment Seat of Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:10; Romans 12:19; 1st Thessalonians 4:6). In sharp contrast, Daniel 12:3 states: "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever." Amen and amen!
Satan's Most Subtle Deception: Lordship Salvation
I recently came across a website: http://www.thesoulwinner.org. Sadly, although they profess to be a soulwinning website, they teach a damnable false gospel.
On page 14 of their presentation, it reads:
RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST AS LORD.
Give Him the "driver's seat" and "controls" of your life, not the "back seat."REPENT
Be willing to TURN from anything that is not pleasing to Him.That is a LIE OF THE DEVIL. There is NOTHING in the Word of God requiring lost sinners to "be willing to turn from anything that is not pleasing to Him." That is ridiculous! Jesus simply asked us to believe on Him... "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live." There is nothing mentioned about turning away from sins, or yielding control of one's life to Christ. Lordship Salvation is a lie of the Devil. You don't make Jesus Lord; He is Lord!
Lordship Salvation is the most subtle, cunning, undetected, deceitful, dangerous false doctrine Satan has ever contrived, and it is destroying America's churches by the droves. Eternal life is a free gift, plain and simple (John 4:10; Romans 6:23). A gift can only be freely received if it is a genuine gift. If I offer you a gift, but then add the stipulation that you must be willing to behave yourself to get it, then it is no longer a gift. Any requirement to be willing to do anything negates the Gift of God. A gift is a gift, period. There can be no strings attached, nor restrictions, nor requirements, nor a mandate to be willing to do something. Oh!, how Satan wants to corrupt the simplicity that is in Christ, to blind men's minds from the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. Salvation is receiving; Not giving.
Laying Up Treasures in Heaven
The soul winner lays up treasures in Heaven...
"Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal" (Matthew 6:19-20).
God is going to reward each believer for every good work. In fact, Jesus even promised to reward those who give a cup of water to a disciple of Jesus... "For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward." So God is not only going to reward soul winners; but is also going to reward all those who help soul winners. God is going to reward the pastor who goes soul winning in Jesus' name, and also reward the church member who helps the pastor. Every disciple of Jesus will be rewarded, and even those who help that disciple. No good work goes unnoticed in Heaven. God is keeping record.
So many people today are materialistic, consumed with buying more "things." But you can't take any of it with you when you die. 'Tis one life will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last. How true! Life is so short (Proverb 27:1). There is no guarantee of tomorrow. We can only live life the way God gives it... one day at a time.
Why waste another day? If you're not an aggressive soulwinner, then become one. It's not too late to make up for lost time. In Luke 10:2 Jesus said: "The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest." There is a woeful shortage of soulwinners today. There are countless fake Christian websites nowadays, that propagate false doctrines and damnable heresies. America is saturated with false prophets and greedy televangelists. God needs soulwinners! I'm so sick of the wishy-washy TV preachers like Pat Robertson, who talk a good talk while stashing tens-of-millions of dollars into their personal pockets.
Jesus told us to lay up treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust will ever corrupt, and thieves will never break into our home to steal. What a day that will be! ... no worries, no need to buy expensive insurance, no hassles, no loss of items having sentimental value. Well actually be able to go fishing without worrying about the house being broken into while were gone. It is a shame that so many people are enamored with the Stock Market nowadays, which is a losing proposition. You can't take any of this world's wealth with you when you die. So many people are consumed about winning the Power Ball Lottery. It won't mean anything in Heaven. God doesn't need nor want your money.
There is no surer way to "lay up" treasures in Heaven than by soulwinning. Jesus has promised to reward us far greater than the stock market ever could... "And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life" (Matthew 19:29). This is not a plan of salvation. Everyone who believes on Christ is saved, whether they serve the Lord or not. But those who give up their life for God in service will also be rewarded an hundredfold.
America Needs Individual Men of God
America is infested with dime-a-dozen ministers who never witness to anyone concerning Christ crucified. God deliver us from deadbeat Christianity. America's pulpits determine the spirituality of our nation. If America is to be reached for God, then our nation needs a generation of leather-lunged, hellfire and damnation, praying, sin-hating, King James Bible preaching, sinner loving, uncompromising preachers to lead the way. God doesn't work through churches, organizations or groups—He works through individual men of God... "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none" (Ezekiel 22:30). What a sad testimony for the Jews in Ezekiel's' time. God said he was unable to find even ONE MAN to stand before him in prayer for the nation.
Oh!, that God would raise up in America some genuine men of God, who have the guts to stand alone, who love sinners enough to warn them of the coming fiery judgment in Hell, and love Jesus enough to proclaim the truth. The average so-called pastor nowadays only preaches a selection of sugarstick sermons. America desperately needs preachers who rock the boat, offend the community, and set the fields ablaze with the truth. I wouldn't give you a dime for a so-called "church" that quietly meets behind closed doors three times a week, while the neighborhood goes to Hell without ever hearing the truth of God's Word from that church. I'm talking about soulwinning ladies and gentlemen.
Calvinism is of the Devil
I wouldn't give you a dime for any professed "Christian" who has no passion for those who are hellbound without Christ. Some lazy believers have bought into the lie of Calvinism, i.e., the false teaching that those who are going to get saved will, and those who aren't won't. Thus, Calvinists believe that soulwinning is unnecessary. Nothing could be further from the truth. Proverb 11:30 tells us to win souls. In Matthew 28:19-20 Jesus gave The Great Commission to his disciples to go into all the world and preach the Gospel, and teach their converts to do the same. In Acts 20:20, often referred to as the "Soulwinner's 20/20 Vision," we find the Apostle Paul going door-to-door preaching the Gospel. Certainly, this disproves the blatant lies of Calvinism.
Jesus said in John 6:37, "And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life." Jesus didn't say "ye cannot come," He clearly said "ye will not come." The choice is each person's to make. God has given to mankind a freewill, to choose for himself. For more information please read the free online book, Not Chosen to Salvation.
Soul Winning is Most Important
There is nothing in the Christian's life any more important than soulwinning. Most believers today have been sidetracked from soulwinning by a job, recreation, hobbies, the problems of this life, sin, church activities, et cetera. Proverb 11:30 says that a wise person is a soulwinner; and conversely, the believer who fails to win souls is a fool. Romans 10:15 proclaims that the soulwinner's feet are BEAUTIFUL in the eyes of God. Sadly, most churches today are filled with believers who have UGLY feet, because they don't care about winning the lost to Christ. They don't care about warning lost sinners of their impending judgment in Hellfire.
I plead with you if you are a genuine Christian to become aggressive about soulwinning. END
"Ye that love the LORD, hate evil..."
