The Counsel of the Ungodly

Psalm 1:1, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”

The Bible warns us not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly. It is inevitable that we will be given ungodly advice at times in our life, but we ought not walk in that direction. Looking back, I've had some ungodly advice given to me at times in my life, but I am thankful that I didn't walk in that advice.

Someone is always there to give unsought advice. Oftentimes that advice is ungodly. Eve didn't ask the serpent for advice, but he gave it anyway, and Eve walked in the counsel of the ungodly.

In this apostate world today, ungodly counsel abounds everywhere. The only defense is the Word of God. Psalm 119:105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”  

The “counsel of the ungodly” is ungodly advice coming from ungodly people. Those people who defend homosexuality are ungodly people. Anyone who says “gay is ok” is giving ungodly advice. God hates homosexuality. Romans 1:18, “For the wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” Ellen DeGeneres is an ungodly woman who gives much ungodly advice. You shouldn't listen to her or any homosexual, because their moral compass is off course. I am not trying to be unkind, just truthful.

Anyone who recommends a divorce is ungodly, and is giving ungodly advice. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16; Jeremiah 3:20; Matthew 19:8; Mark 10:9; Matthew 18:22). Only an ungodly person would break apart a marriage. Divorce is a sin and so is remarriage for the one who quit. The Bible warns us not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly. Unforgiveness, breaking one's lifetime vows and quitting are always the ungodly thing to do in a marriage. America has become an ungodly nation of liars, quitters and self-righteous hypocrites. No one has a God-given right to divorce. Just as homosexuals and abortionists pervert the Scriptures to justify their sins, so do quitters twist the Bible to justify divorce.

Getting an abortion is ungodly advice. The biggest misnomer in the world is the bogus phrase “Planned Parenthood.” Where does the “planning” part fit in with an abortion? How is getting an abortion planning to be a mother? What a bunch of deceitful liars. They talk about planning to be a parent, when that is not the goal at all. The plan is to kill the child, curb the world's population and convince the ungodly mother that she did the right thing. Planned Parenthood is the leading provider of abortion services in the United States. They are an ungodly organization, who give ungodly advice, and only ungodly people WALK in the counsel of the ungodly.

Las Vegas is ungodly. Casino gambling is ungodly. Casinos are synonymous with prostitution, drunkenness and other forms of immorality. No Christian belongs in SIN CITY, any more than Lot belonged in Sodom in the Old Testament. In Genesis 13:12, Lot pitched his tent toward Sodom, i.e., the opening of his tent faced Sodom. By Genesis 14:12, Lot lived in Sodom. This is the way of sin. Lot's heart was in Sodom before he moved there one chapter later. I cringe when I hear someone say that they want to go to Las Vegas. You couldn't pay me to go to Las Vegas! Las Vegas represents the gutter of America, the sewer of society, the bottom-of-the-rung. Woe unto America!

Going to a psychologist or a psychiatrist cannot substitute for Biblical Christianity. Modern psychology is the counsel of the ungodly. I realize in some cases that people do need medications; but one must realize that modern psychology is based upon Evolution, Humanism and Atheism. Look in any dictionary of modern psychology and you won't find the terms “sin” or “evil.” There is no concept of sin in secular counseling. Thus, it is the counsel of the ungodly. Without the knowledge of sin there can be no salvation (Romans 3:19; Galatians 3:24).

Without the knowledge of sin there can be no healing of the soul, for to get right with God, one must first acknowledge their debt of sin before God. Modern psychology attempts to repair the human soul without addressing the reality of sin, like a foolhardy lion-tamer who sticks his head in a hungry lion's mouth. The human sin-nature cannot be tamed. Men do not need education, reformation, nor rehabilitation; but rather, regeneration by the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9; 2nd Corinthians 5:17).

Women who dress worldly, wearing the attire of an harlot (Proverb 7:10), are walking in the counsel of the ungodly. It is shameful and sinful the inappropriate manner in which American women poorly cloth themselves. America's Rock 'N' Roll sex culture of the 1950's and 1960's produced a generation of substance-abusers, rebels and fornicators, which led to millions of unwanted pregnancies, and ultimately the Roe v. Wade decision legalized abortion at a federal level. Along with the ungodly Feminist Movement came immodestly dressed American women, abortion, lesbianism and divorce. The unprecedented moral downfall of America is documented, shocking and tragic.

Rock 'N' Roll music is the counsel of the ungodly. Worldly music is one of the most deadly spiritual poisons in the world, because it is highly addictive, ungodly and deceitful in nature. Country music is synonymous with adultery, drunkenness and divorce. Rock 'N' Roll is no different, except for the addition of rebellion as one of its central themes. Today, Rap, House, Punk, Heavy Metal, Grunge, Goth, Alternate, and droves more, and all of the Devil. All these styles of music are worldly, demonic in origin and convey the counsel of the ungodly. The entire secular and even Contemporary Christian Music [CCM] industries are saturated with sexual suggestiveness, worldliness and connections with the occult. Birds of a feather flock together. The sinful world hobnobs with each other, walking in the counsel of the ungodly (James 4:4).

The lying newsmedia brainwashes Americans with the counsel of the ungodly. The media are ungodly, manure-spreading, thugs, who will eat their young to sell a story. Ungodly media celebrities continually exploit the gullibility of the American public, causing people to support tyranny, lying wonders and works of darkness (such as the atrocity of the Iraqi war). Well over one million Iraqi's have been brutally killed by American forces, based upon ungodly counsel, from an ungodly White House administration. The ungodly newsmedia is owned and controlled by ungodly families, the same ungodly people who own and operate the ungodly Federal Reserve Banks.

When will the American people wake up, and stop walking in the deceitful counsel of the ungodly? OUR leaders do what they do with OUR money, with OUR troops and in OUR name; hence, it is OUR business! Proverb 20:18, “Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war.” There was NO good advice; but rather, the counsel of the ungodly took us to war against a sovereign and innocent nation.

The bogus teachings of Evolution are the counsel of the ungodly. You cannot hold to a literal Biblical view while also believing the nonsense of Evolution. There is not one shred of evidence in support of Evolution. Try as they may, the world's top scientists have never been able to validate the theories of Evolution. The Missing Link will always be missing, because it doesn't exist in reality. To teach impressionable children that they evolved from slime is a sin. God spoke the universe into existence; but he formed mankind with His own hands from the dust of the earth (Genesis 2:7). Instead of teaching children that they are the object of God's love, lovingly designed by a divine God; they are robbed of God and truth in their life. The theories of Evolution are ungodly counsel.

Feminism is ungodly counsel. Feminism is rebellion. The Bible teaches in 1st Samuel 15:23 that “rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” Rebellion is the same as witchcraft.

Ungodly counsel is everywhere today. The question is... will you WALK in that ungodly counsel? I hope and pray instead that you'll SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES (John 5:39).
