Marty Herron—The Devil's Pastor

One of the most ungodly people I've ever met is Marty Herron on Guam. He was the incompetent senior pastor at Harvest Baptist Church from 1999 to 2018. Herron flew the chicken coup and quit in 2018, fleeing to greener pastures in Ankeny, Iowa, as the executive vice president of Faith Baptist Bible College And Theological Seminary. That disgusting pathetic excuse for a preacher now gets paid a very much undeserved 6-digit salary, further destroying young people's lives with his demonic counterfeit plan of salvation of partial faith in Christ plus forsaking a lifestyle of sinning.

It was a Sunday morning in 2014 when I was sitting in the congregation at the Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. Hundreds of people were present in attendance. I almost fell out of my pew at the end of his sermonette, when Pastor Herron said, and I quote: “It's not enough to admit you're a sinner to get to Heaven, you must forsake a lifestyle of sinning.” Oh my, that is not the Gospel, it is 100% WORKS!

I went home and literally cried, knowing that Mr. Herron was an unsaved fool. No preacher who errantly adds works to grace is saved. If I knew that Marty Herron is saved, I'd throw my King James Bible into the nearest garbage pain, I'd quit my website ministry immediately, and I'd never preach again as long as I live. I would quit if I knew that Pastor Herron is saved, because it would mean that God is a dirty liar! If Marty Herron is saved, then so also are all Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Seventh-Day Adventists, Mormons, Church of Christ and all other demonic religious groups that add works to grace. The Bible plainly says that faith is the only righteous thing that I can do (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Beware dear friend of the Devil's neo-evangelical crowd. They are everywhere today. Watch out if you attend these modernistic apostate churches today, with their Contemporary Christian Music (CCM), their overhead projection screens, their incompetent pastors who have replaced doctrinally sound Bible preaching with Shirley Temple type weak sermonettes. Nearly every neo-evangelical church teaches the Satanic lie that you must be willing to give up your sinful bad habits to be saved, but you cannot show me that in the inspired King James Bible. From Genesis through Revelation the Bible teaches that salvation is by faith alone.

I am so sick and tired of the Peter S. Ruckman cult (aka, Ruckmanites). This doctrinally flawed group includes Dr. William P. Grady, Bible Baptist Church in Pensacola, Robert Breaker and other heretics who falsely preach that people were saved by WORKS in the Old Testament. Acts 10:43 calls them all liars! Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.” All the Old Testament prophets (preachers) testified that remission of sins comes only though faith in Christ. Ironically, the Ruckman crowd actually quote from the Old Testament in a lame attempt to justify their damnable heresy that you must be willing to turn from your sins to be saved. I say “ironically” because Ruckmanites don't believe anybody was ever saved in the Old Testament. Listen to Pastor Bill Grady teach this demonic garbage for yourself! Kindly said, Bill Grady is a lying corrupt false teacher!!! It's hard to believe that Dr. Grady was one of my Bible professors at Hyles-Anderson College. I had him for my class on “Biographies Of Great Men.”

The Ruckman cult are WRONG! No, you don't have to turn from your sins to be saved. You don't have to stop or start anything to be saved. Listen to me, NO ONE has ever turned away from their sinning! All you can do is become less of a sinner in the eyes of man and yourself, but in God's holy sight you are either under grace, or under the curse of the law.

Here is my favorite preacher's quote from Pilgrim's Progress author, John Bunyan:

“If you do not put a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without and sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within, you are not able to divide the Word aright; but contrariwise, you corrupt the Word of God, and cast stumbling blocks before the people.” —John Bunyan (1628-1688)

And please read this powerful quote from my ministry friend Michael P. Bowen:

You can trust Christ with all of your might and do your best to turn from you sins and still end up in the lake of fire. That is shocking! You can do your best to trust that Jesus died for you, that He rose from the dead, and try your best to live a good, holy life and “still” end up dying in your sins because you have not placed your trust “alone” (apart from turning from your sins) in what He did for you. The sad thing about adding “self efforts” such as turning from your sins to Christ’s plan of “trust only” is that, while it sounds right, it sounds good, and it feels right, it is not the gospel message that Christ has so plainly given to us in His bible. Jesus said in John 3:16 that “whosoever believeth in Him” would be saved. He did not say “whosoever believeth” and turn from your sins. He did not say believe and be willing to turn from your sins. He did not say believe and follow Him in obedience “in order to” have everlasting life, nor did He ever imply such things when He spoke of salvation.” —Michael P. In Matthew 27:3b we read that Judas “repented himself.” Judas turned from his sins, yet still died in his sins without Jesus Christ and went to Hell forever. So sad and needlessly tragic! If one of Jesus' very apostles could die in his sins and go to Hell, then so can you dear reader. It doesn't matter if you have been a member of a Baptist church for the last 40 years, “Ye must be born again” to enter into God's Kingdom (John 3:3). I have seen pastor's wives get saved 15 years after their husband became a pastor. I have seen church deacons come to Christ 30 years later. All those 30 years that man had churchianity without Christianity, because no one ever told him the truth that “Ye must be born again” to get to Heaven (John 3:3). Being born again by faith in the incorruptible Word of God (1st Peter 1:23) is not optional if you want to go to Heaven someday. But, you cannot receive the new birth by turning from your sinful ways! That is NOT the Gospel of free grace, which is by faith alone in Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:26).

Pastor Marty Herron has much blood on his hands, for preaching another gospel (Galatians 1:6-7). I don't think every preacher who uses a wrong phrase here and there is necessary not saved. In his writings Dr. John R. Rice (1895-1980 often taught that you must turn from sin with all your heart to be saved, but he clearly explained what he meant by turning from sins in the following quote:

There are those hyper-dispensationalists who think that John the Baptist preached a different Gospel from Christ when he commanded repentance (Matt. 3:2). But it is the same repentance Jesus commanded in Matthew 4:17, in Luke 13:3 and 5, and the same repentance that Paul preached in Athens that God “now commandeth all men every where to repent” (Acts 17:30 31). Repentance is not a different plan of salvation from having faith: it is part of the same plan of salvation. Or rather repentance is simply another way of describing or looking at the plan of salvation. One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus Christ. A change of mind toward sin is necessarily involved in saving faith.

Everyone who genuinely repented under the preaching of John the Baptist put his trust in the Saviour John the Baptist preached, and was regenerated. There is no such thing as being “a disciple of John the Baptist” in any honest sense without being a disciple of Jesus, that is, without trusting Christ for salvation. [emphasis added]

Bravo! Dr. Rice correctly writes: One who turns from sin to God has done so by trusting in Jesus Christ. That is correct! If you turn toward Jesus Christ in faith to be saved, you have at the same time turned your back against the sin that had condemned you to Hell forever. This doesn't mean that you've committed yourself to reform. It doesn't mean that you desire to turn from your sinful bad habits. These are works! What Dr. Rice means is that by turning to Christ to be saved, it is only because you have come to the realization that you're a guilty sinner and need the Savior. In that sense alone you have turned to Christ from your sins. Albeit, since the Bible doesn't use the phrase “turn from sin” or “be willing to turn from sin,” I don't use them!

In sharp contrast from Dr. Rice, Marty Herron errantly teaches that you must “forsake a lifestyle of sinning” to be saved, which is 100% WORKS! There is no way to dismiss or excuse what Pastor Herron foolishly preaches from the pulpit. If Herron is going to Heaven, then so also is the Church of Christ member who errantly thinks that he must be water baptized, turn from his sins, and publicly confess the name of Jesus to get to Heaven. None of these requirements are biblical. When asked what “works” to do to get to Heaven, Jesus replied in John 6:28-29, “Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” The Bible is so simple, we are saved by faith alone in Jesus, nothing more. God knows that I don't hate anybody. I don't hate Marty Herron, but I do hate every false way as the Bible teaches in Psalms 119:104, “Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.” Wrong repentance is a false way! Lordship Salvation is a false way! Works for salvation is a false way!

God only knows the pain, misery and loss I have suffered at the wicked hands of Pastor Marty Herron. The woman who I know as sure as I am saved would have married me, rejected me when Pastor Herron coerced her to get rid of me, and she did. Marty Herron ruined my life! I was forced out and banned from returning to Harvest Baptist Church on Guam. After one year of making friends at church and feeling happy for the first time in 20 years, Herron pulled the rug out from under my feet, threw me under the bus, and drove over me, leaving me for dead. If there is a God in Heaven, someday Marty Herron will wish he had never been born for his spiritual felony crimes against me, his other victims, the truth of the Gospel, Heaven and God.

I TOLD THE TRUTH and was consequently kicked out of Harvest Baptist Church on Guam, banned from returning and then shunned by the local community by all members who still attended Harvest. My neighbours refused to return my kind waves. Nobody who attended Harvest would talk to me anymore. I was shunned and ostracized by hundreds of people in the local Guam community, whom I met everywhere I went. When I went walking at Asan Beach Park, Harvest's staff members refused to even acknowledge my kind waves and friendliness, totally rejecting me as a human being. When I went walking behind Chamorro Village one evening, I clearly overheard a Harvest staff member firmly tell his wife as they walked by me, “Don't say 'hi,' don't say 'hi'!” They didn't say “hi,” even though I gave them a friendly smile as we passed. What he said really hurt my feelings. That is how much the incompetent leadership at Harvest Baptist Church on Guam hates me, and it also shows the disturbing power of influence that they have over the members in their cult.

And the abuse was not limited only to Harvest's staff members. Entire families across the street from where I lived on Guam in Tiyan blackballed me. They totally ignored me, giving me hateful stares as I kindly waved with a smile on my face every time I saw them. I was the black sheep of the church family, excommunicated because I TOLD THE TRUTH. Galatians 4:16, “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” Yes Paul, they counted you as their enemy for befriending them with the truth (just as they have done to me). The pastors of Harvest (including their new shameful pastor Gary Walton who also shunned me away in cruelty) are big hypocrites! I used to listen to the church's KHMG 88.1 FM radio station on Guam. Evangelist Tom Ferrell said one day while preaching on the radio, “A friend helps a friend to see!” Well, when I befriended those evil monsters with THE TRUTH, they shunned and ostracized me permanently. I want God to avenge me!

I TOLD THE TRUTH that Lordship Salvation is a perversion of the Gospel. I TOLD THE TRUTH that all of the modern English Bible revisions have been corrupted by Satan. I TOLD THE TRUTH that repentance doesn't mean to forsake a lifestyle of sinning to get to Heaven. I TOLD THE TRUTH that Martin Luther (1483-1546) was NOT a born again Christian, because until his death he taught the Satanic heresy of Baptismal Regeneration (sacramental salvation, which requires water baptism and communion to be saved). For befriending those evil clergy with these TRUTHS, I was driven out of church and the only happy life I knew was instantly stripped away from me, and the woman I had hoped to marry was gone, and I went into a deep depression for years to come, becoming a recluse at home. God's curse is upon these wicked infidels. I long to be avenged in eternity for the innocent blood of all of Pastor Herron's victims, including my own blood. That evil man takes the things of God lightly, dismissing right doctrine for the sake of making more filthy lucre...

Romans 16:27-28, “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”

I heard a wonderful sermon today by Pastor Jonathan Shelley. The sermon is titled, “Pastors In Name Only.” I love this kind of direct truthful preaching! I highly encourage you to listen to this sermon, especially the last half. It is absolutely awesome! Brother Shelley hits on so many critical important points that we rarely hear addressed from church pulpits today. Our nation is in serious trouble, but everybody just wants to watch football games, and watch Taylor Swift watch the Superbowl. We're a bunch of idiots! No wonder the Devil's crowd are gaining mastery over us as believers!

Their ungodly pastors (Marty Herron, Jared Baldwin, Joe Hensen) turned the whole community in which I lived against me. All of my neighbours still attended Harvest. For seven lonely miserable years Marty Herron and company turned the entire church family against me. This is what cult leaders do with the power God has entrusted to them, persecuting and murdering truth tellers! Matthew 23:31, Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.”

I pray for Marty Herron to receive his due evil reward from God. Preaching a counterfeit plan of salvation is the worst crime one can commit. It is worse than murder. It is worse than adultery. It is worse than spitting on your mother. It is worse than being a pedophile. Preaching another gospel damns souls to the Lake of Fire forever! Marty Herron is the Devil's pastor! 2nd Corinthians 11:13-15, “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” Satan is a beautiful liar!

Please don't allow some suave, charismatic, friendly and likable false prophet take you to Hell forever with them. Marty Herron has all 666 volumes of Dr. John MacArthur's Satanic study Bible series. Woe be unto these devils in the pulpit! If I haven't made it clear so far, let it be known to all that you DON'T have to forsake a lifestyle of sinning to be saved. You don't have to give up or stop one sin to get to Heaven. God will even save a man in his doubt and unbelief, just so long as you act on what little faith you may have, by BELIEVING ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (Acts 16:30-31). Mark 9:24, “And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” This dear man had faith in Jesus, despite the many doubts he also had.

I love the Chair Illustration. Let's say for the sake of our illustration that you need to replace a defective light bulb. You're not seven feet tall, so you need something to stand on and you don't have a ladder. So you pull up a chair to stand on. Now, the chair looks old and is wobbly. You aren't sure if the chair will support your weight. But you really need to replace the light bulb. So despite your doubts you stand upon the chair and trust your full body's weight to the chair. Even though you had doubts about the chair, you placed no less than 100% of your trust in that chair when you stood upon it.

Likewise, it is okay to have doubts when you get saved, just so long as you stand upon Jesus with all your faith. That is, wholly trust the GOOD NEWS that Jesus died on a cross to pay for your sins, and that He was buried, and that three days later He bodily resurrected from the dead. Regardless of how much doubt you may have that the Bible is telling the truth, if you place your full trust in the finished work of the only begotten Son of God, Jesus Christ, you have placed 100% faith in Him. Trust Christ alone, and don't add turning from your sins, water baptism, joining a religion, surrendering all to Christ, faithfully running the race, becoming a Christ follower or any other damnable nonsense that will prevent you from receiving the new birth. Faith is the only righteous thing that I can do.

If I learned that Marty Herron is truly saved, I'd throw my Bible into the nearest trash can, I'd quit my internet ministry right away, and I'd never lift a finger to labor for Christ again; because if Marty is saved that would mean God is a filthy liar, a horrible author, a treacherous deceiver and no better than the serpent who tricked Eve in the Garden of Eden. Not one verse in the inspired King James Bible teaches that you must turn away from a lifestyle of sinning to get to Heaven. If it were so, then all of us would be doomed to eternal damnation in Hell, because NO ONE has ever turned away from a lifestyle of sinning. NO ONE!!!

Even the best Christian still lives a lifestyle of sinning, because the flesh is corrupt and cannot be domesticated. All we can do is by God's grace attempt to control the flesh by subduing our lusts and passions. Remember, Galatians 2:20 teaches that we don't live the Christian life, Jesus lives it through us as we walk in the Spirit by faith (Galatians 5:22-25). You are still a dirty sinner and so am I, no matter how long you've been a believer (Romans 7:14-25). Thankfully, when we sin (and we all do continually throughout each day), God's saving grace does much more abound, so that we could never forfeit or jeopardize God's free gift of eternal life (Romans 5:20, 6:1).

Kindly said, Pastor Herron is guilty of mixing works with grace; guilty of confusing people by not putting a difference between justification wrought by the man Christ without, versus sanctification wrought by the Spirit of Christ within. In so doing, Mr. Herron has corrupted the Word of God, and has cast stumbling blocks before the people. A false Gospel cannot produce regeneration (i.e., the new birth from above by God's Holy Spirit). RIGHT DOCTRINE MATTERS!!!
