Max Lucado EXPOSED!

By David J. Stewart | January 2008

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears." —2nd Timothy 4:3

Max Lucado is a best-selling Christian author and well-known minister. Lucado has written 60 books with over 65 million copies in print, and currently serves as senior minister at Oak Hills Church (formerly Oak Hills Church of Christ) in San Antonio, Texas.

Lucado was named “America's Pastor” by apostate Christianity Today magazine and in 2005 was named by demonic Reader's Digest as “The Best Preacher in America.”

Mr. Lucado has been featured on The Fox News Channel, NBC Nightly News, Larry King Live, USA Today, and a bunch of other worldly demonic shows.

Luke 6:26, “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to THE FALSE PROPHETS.”

Max Lucado does concert tour with apostates Michael W. Smith & Third Day)

Kindly, James 4:4 identifies Max Lucado as an enemy of God, since he is a friend of the carnal world. Lucado's books are regularly on the New York Times Best Seller List. He has been featured speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast (where so-called “prayers” are read from a piece of paper, prewritten and not from the heart). It's all a bunch of heathen formalism, Modernism, Liberalism, sinful hypocrisy and ecumenical uniting by error. God wants us to divide over truth rather than unite by error (Matthew 10:34).

Tragically, Max Lucado is an ecumenical false prophet, who teaches the Church of Christ's false doctrine that salvation is SEALED by baptism. Lucado deceitfully claims that he doesn't believe in Baptismal Regeneration; yet he teaches that water baptism is essential to be signing and sealed...

"Baptism effectively seals our salvation."

"In baptism God signs and seals our conversion to him."

SOURCE: http://www.maxlucado.com/pdf/baptism.upwords.pdf

On Max Lucado's website, in the article Baptism: The Demonstration of Devotion, Lucado states:

“Baptism separates the tire kickers from the car buyers.”

SOURCE: http://www.maxlucado.com/articles/topical/baptism_the_demonstration_of_devotion

Those are some dangerous words. So if you don't get water baptized, then you're only kicking the tires of salvation; but not buying it? That what Max is teaching! How much clearer could it be that Max is teaching Baptismal Regeneration.

Clearly, Lucado believes that water baptism is essential in some way to salvation. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth, which is exactly what ALL Ecumenical, New World Order [NWO], false prophets do! What's a NWO order false prophet? These are greedy men who have been selected by Freemasons to corrupt the masses.

Baptismal Regeneration is a demonic doctrine of devils, a works-based salvation. The Bible NEVER tells anyone to be water baptized in order to be saved. Max Lucado teaches that baptism seals our salvation. That is not what the Bible teaches. The Bible teaches that those who BELIEVE are sealed with the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 1:13, “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.”

Max Lucado stated from the moment he took over as pastor of Oak Hills Church of Christ in 1988 that he wouldn't take a salary; yet he has consecutively written 2 books per year for the past 22-years, making himself VERY wealthy, and is often on the New York Times Best Seller List. You don't get books sold that easy unless someone is promoting, nurturing and supporting your works. Satan is in the works!

The following quote came from the Oak Hills Church of Christ official Internet web site — updated 7/15/95; copied 7/12/96; and re-verified 2/98 (The Oak Hills Church pulled this statement from their web site in 1999, apparently due to complaints from evangelicals, and replaced it with a rather generic statement):

"It is necessary to respond to God's free offer of salvation by faith, repentance, and baptism. As we confess Christ as our Lord and are baptized by immersion, God meets us, forgives our sins and gives us the gift of the Holy Spirit that empowers each of us." (Emphases added.)

This is typical Church of Christ false doctrine. Most Christians are not aware that Max Lucado is the pastor of the Oak Hills Church of Christ. Sadly, most Christians are not even aware that the Church of Christ adds water baptism to the Gospel; thus, perverting it.

Lucado falsely teaches that water baptism is an initial sign of being saved. There is NO such teaching in the Bible...

"True believers not only offer their sins, they yield their wills to Christ. Baptism is the initial test of a believing heart."

SOURCE: http://www.maxlucado.com/pdf/baptism.upwords.pdf

1st John 5:13 tells us clearly WHY the Apostle John wrote his Epistle... so that we could KNOW that we have eternal life.  Interestingly, John never mentions "baptism" even once.

The bottom line is that Max Lucado straddles-the-fence on the issue of water baptism, speaking out of both sides of his mouth. As you just read from the quote I gave you, Lucado teaches that being baptized is the first test of a believing heart. Test of what? Salvation? According to Lucado, yes. He says you're only kicking car tires, but not buying, if you don't get baptized.[1]

There is no test my friend concerning salvation. If you refuse to be baptized because you are afraid to be immersed in water, God understands and it will not prevent you from being saved at all. In fact, maybe you just don't feel like getting baptized, which will not hinder you from being saved. To clarify, the Bible does teach believer's baptism, and you should be baptized as soon as possible and join a local Bible-believing church (preferably Independent Fundamental Baptist); but baptism is only for believers. If you refuse to get water baptized FOR WHATEVER REASON, you are still saved, because you didn't have to get dunked into water in the first place to be saved.

Don't let Max Lucado confuse you. Whereas he makes a big deal over water baptism, hardly any mention is made of water baptism throughout the various Epistles to the churches. Paul even proclaimed that Jesus DIDN'T send him to baptize; but to preach the Gospel instead (1st Corinthians 1:17). Paul further stated that he was GLAD that he didn't baptize any of the church members at Corinth (1st Corinthians 1:14). Any preacher who cannot separate salvation from water baptism in his Gospel is a liar and false prophet.

Max Lucado: Multi-Millionaire False Prophet

Concerning salvation, Pastor Max Lucado says water baptism separates the tire kickers from the car buyers. This is ANOTHER GOSPEL, just as Lordship Salvation is ANOTHER GOSPEL. This heresy is called “Baptismal Regeneration,” that is, they teach that water baptism is required to be regenerated (born again). Lutherans teach a variation of this. Like most false prophets, they speak with a forked-tongue. While saying that water baptism is not necessary to be saved, they turn around and say that water baptism is the saving mechanism through which one's faith is demonstrated. So while testifying that water baptism does not save, at the same time they say if you're really saved you'll get baptized. It's a Catch-22 situation, in which you must be water baptized to be declared justified in God's eyes, which is another Gospel. Keep in mind that Pastor Lucado is a Church of Christ minister, who admittedly changed the name of their church in 2003 to escape numerous stigmas associated with the of Church of Christ denomination.

Mr. Lucado has painstakingly avoided revealing his net worth online, but admittedly has sold over 92,000,000 copies of his books (over 100 that he's authored in 54 languages). Do the math. If his books sell for $12 each, that's $1,104,000,000!!! (one billion, one hundred and four million, dollars). It's ridiculous that numerous websites brag that Pastor Lucado hasn't taken a church salary since 1990. Yeah right, Lucado's personal net worth must be in the tens-of-millions. Mega sellout, Billy Graham, has a personal net worth of $25,000,000. Mega heretic Pastor John MacArthur was paid $246,586 in 2013 by Grace To You. Man of God? Jesus plainly taught in Luke 16:13 that NO MAN can serve God and mammon (wealth). Luke 16:13, “No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” I don't trust any so-called “man of God” whose annual income is more than the average hard-working American earns IN A LIFETIME.

Max Lucado Requires Confession For Salvation

In Max Lucado's heretical book, “3:16—THE NUMBERS OF HOPE” (published by Thomas Nelson, 2007) he makes it clear that doesn’t really believe that faith in Christ alone brings eternal life; but rather, teaches that public confession is also required for salvation.

Notice the following ridiculous prayer for salvation that Max Lucado gives. THE GOSPEL is defined in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 as the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Max Lucado doesn't mention any of these three elements in his prayer for salvation. Is choosing the Father salvation? Also, carefully notice that Max Lucado has been corrupted by modern corrupt Bibles. Jesus is God's only BEGOTTEN Son, but all modern Bible remove the word “begotten” from John 3:16. Every born-again believer is an adopted son of God (John 1:12). So Jesus cannot be God's one and only Son...

"Father, I believe you love this world. You gave your one and only Son so I can live forever with you. Apart from you, I die. With you, I live. I choose life. I choose you."

SOURCE: 3:16—THE NUMBERS OF HOPE, by Max Lucado; Nelson Publishers, pg. 129, 2007

The preceding prayer would send a person to Hell forever, by mislead them into thinking they were really saved. THE GOSPEL is defined in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 as Christ's death on the cross for our sins, His burial and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. To be saved, a person must receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ as full-payment for their sins. Max Lucado doesn't mention any of these three elements in his prayer for salvation. No doubt, Lucado believes these things, but his wording is dangerous.

Max Lucado goes on to errantly state that confession is required for salvation, otherwise you're a stowaway he says, and not a legitimate passenger aboard the ship of eternal life...

"If you aren’t sure you’ve told him, you haven’t. We can’t get on board and not know it. Nor can we get on board and hide it. No stowaways permitted. Christ-followers go public with their belief. We turn from bad behavior to good (repentance). We stop following our passions and salute our new captain (confession). We publicly demonstrate our devotion (baptism).

We don’t keep our choice a secret. Why would we? We’re on our way home for Christ’s sake."

SOURCE: 3:16—THE NUMBERS OF HOPE, by Max Lucado; Nelson Publishers, pg. 129, 2007

This is classic heresy where something is ADDED to the Gospel. Max Lucado deceitfully claims to believe that salvation is by grace through faith, but then he says that you must profess your faith openly because no stowaways are permitted! Lucado says, those who genuinely believe will go public with their faith. This is a false plan of salvation! We read in John 10:42-43 that many of the chief rulers believed on Christ, but they DID NOT CONFESS HIM, because they were afraid of the Pharisees kicking them out of the synagogue. Clearly, they were saved, but loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Confessing Christ openly to others is not a requirement to be saved. Eternal life is a totally free gift, that you simply BELIEVE to obtain.

Remember, Mr. Lucado is a Church of Christ minister. They changed the name of their church a few years back. Max Lucado clearly says that a person cannot believe in Christ and hide it—that “Christ-followers go public with their belief.” Clearly, Max Lucado doesn’t believe that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ alone PLUS NOTHING! Every preacher who climbs aboard the apostasy bandwagon of ecumenism—waters-down his sermonettes, hides his true beliefs, and does everything possible to promote unity, love and cooperation between the different religious denominations. The end result is more apostasy, confusion and victory for Satan in our churches. Since Max Lucado dropped mention of the Church of Christ from their church's name, membership has drastically increased.[1]

Max Lucado teaches a corrupt plan of salvation of partial faith in Christ plus human effort. The truth of John 3:16—that whoever believeth on Him hath everlasting life—now becomes the perverted message that only whoever believes on Christ and openly confesses Him before men, and get water baptized, are legally permitted onboard! Max Lucado's plan of salvation has FINE PRINT my friend, a disclaimer which negates his claims of salvation by faith alone.

Make No Difference Tour

Notice at the top of the following photo that World Vision is sponsoring this apostate group on their tour. World Vision promotes Population control...

They Should call it the... “Make More Money Tour,” because that's all these imposters are doing.

“WORLD VISION” SUPPORTS POPULATION CONTROL

March 2, 1999

WASHINGTON, DC (Life Site News) - World Vision, a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability, calls itself “the largest privately funded, faith-based relief and development organization in the United States.” Despite its popularity and respected image, however, World Vision is generating criticism because of its support for population control.

A 1995 World Vision policy document called “Health and Healing,” reported that “World Vision will supplement governmental and other NGO [non-governmental organization] efforts in making modern family planning methods available to the couples. ... These include copper IUDs, pills, and condoms.”

Furthermore, according to a recent article in WORLD, an American Christian magazine, an internal survey of the organization last year revealed that “all responding NOs [national offices] are engaged in some type of family planning-related activity, either as a straightforward family planning or reproductive health project or buried within child survival, maternal health, or women's health activities.”

WORLD also notes that $55 million of World Vision's $241 million revenue last year came from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) — a group notorious for promoting population control in the third world.

There is so much apostasy, corruption and evil in the world today, it is mind boggling. Everything and anything that has anything to do with the United Nations is evil to the core. World Vision leaders have met with UN leaders to ask how they can help. Yeah, they said, go prevent more children and reduce the population. World Vision is a front organization for population control. Why is Max Lucado and his misfit sidekicks promoting this type of evil?

Jesus is Not a “Funky Freak” as TobyMac Sings!

True Christians honor the name of Jesus. They don't go around referring to Jesus as a funky freak. Here's the lyrics to tobyMac's pathetic song . . .

FUNKY JESUS

Rock, rock
Give me that rock
That hip, that rock
Give me that funky

Yo stick it in red
We got the cred
No need to say what's already been said
Don't need to please
When we got the proof
We be on our knees
When we raise the roof
'Cause we got the
Wow pow mix of flavor
We got the funky Jesus blazer
No equal
Diverse people
Come get it now
Won't be a sequel

None of that mumbo jumbo
Give me that hip hop funk soul
Give me that funky Jesus music
Give me that soulful gumbo

Did TobyMac say, “None of that mumbo jumbo”? That's all his lyrics are... total mumbo-jumbo trash. We got the funky Jesus blazer? What kind of talk is that?

I looked up the world “funky” in a dictionary and here's what it said:

  1. Offensively malodorous
  2. (of jazz) having the soulful feeling of early blues
  3. In a state of cowardly fright

I don't find any of those characteristics in the Scriptures describing my Lord and Savior. It is dishonoring to portray the holy Savior as being funky. Jesus is the precious holy Savior. It was evil men who called Jesus a liar, crazy and demon-possessed. The righteous called him Christ, the Son of God.

Max Lucado and every one of the performers mentioned (Third Day, Michael W. Smith, and TobyMac) are part of the New World Order. They all promote breaking down barriers, to unite the different religions together as one. NOT ONE of them will criticize the evil Catholic religion. And they all teach a false ecumenical Gospel that the Catholics also teach. TobyMac has openly said it was an honor to perform for the Pope. These men are imposters, masquerading as Christians who want to make a difference. But make a difference for who? The truth is that they are only making a difference for Satan, leading the churches into further apostasy, leading people into experiences and feelings rather than Biblical doctrine and true salvation. Everywhere these men go, churchgoers start bobbling their heads, swaying their hands in the air, for a Rock concert EXPERIENCE. They are serving the Devil. Then Max Lucado gets up and teaches the audience to unite with the Catholic Church. God hates what they're doing!

Water Baptism is Not a Sacrament (no Grace is bestowed)

Max Lucado errantly teaches that there are sacraments...

“Christians participate in two God-ordained sacraments that celebrate what God has done for us: communion and baptism.”

SOURCE: http://www.maxlucado.com/articles/topical/baptism_the_demonstration_of_devotion

The term “sacrament” is not found in the Bible. A sacrament differs from an ordinance in that a sacrament supposedly bestows some special grace (power) upon the participant. In the case of Max Lucado and the Hillside Church of Christ (which they renamed to Hillside Church); they teach that water baptism signs and seals salvation. The Bible does NOT teach that there are any special powers to being water baptized. You are getting a bath my friend, that's all. Baptism is important, just as a wedding ring is significant in what it symbolizes; but it is not mandatory, nor essential.

Mr. Lucado magnifies water baptism where the Bible does not...

“The human mind explaining baptism is like a harmonica interpreting Beethoven: the music is too majestic for the instrument. No scholar or saint can fully appreciate what this moment means in heaven.”

SOURCE: http://www.maxlucado.com/articles/topical/baptism_the_demonstration_of_devotion

The Bible teaches that there is “joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth” (Luke 15:10). Clearly, the saints are the one's rejoicing. The Bible doesn't say that getting water baptized causes joy. Lucado says baptism is too great to explain, but he needs to read the Bible then, because Romans 6:3-4 tells us exactly what water baptism is... “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Water baptism is one's public profession of faith, plain and simple.

There is no special rejoicing in Heaven when a person is water baptized, and not one Scripture can be used to support Lucado's claim. Luke 15:10 teaches that there is joy when a person repents, i.e., turns to Jesus Christ by faith to be forgiven of their sins. There is joy when a person gets saved.

Max Lucado is very subtle, like Satan; he teaches that a person doesn't need to be water baptized to be saved, but then he says that anyone who refuses to be water baptized is showing that they've never been saved. It's a catch 22.

Max Lucado is a Church of Christ Deceiver!

Max Lucado is hiding the fact that he is a Church of Christ minister...

Recently, his church, which has some 5,000 members, even changed its name from "Oak Hills Church of Christ" to simply "Oak Hills Church."

As a result of Lucado's deception, naive churchgoers have embraced Mr. Lucado's heresies...

Christians of all denominations have embraced Lucado's work. He has written more than 50 books — with more than 39 million in print — including his latest, "Come Thirsty," (W Publishing Group) which came out last year.

SOURCE: http://www.bpnews.net/bpnews.asp?ID=20752

Max Lucado's teachings are dangerous. Lucado was a speaker at the 1995 Christian Booksellers Association (CBA) Convention. Lucado gave a call to unity among Christians across denominational lines. Likening Christians to sailors on the same boat with “one captain” and “one destination,” Lucado urged acceptance between Protestants and Catholics, Baptists, and Presbyterians (Reported in the 12/95, Fundamentalist Digest).

Max Lucado is an unsaved Modernist who is actively corrupting America's churches. Any minister who promotes acceptance of the damnable Catholic religion is of the Devil. The Devil is using ecumenical ministers to promote sinful compromise between believers and the unsaved. The Word of God commands us to divide over truth, rather than being united by error (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). Titus 1:10-13 tells us to rebuke them sharply (i.e., with authority). That is what I am doing by God's grace.

The Doctrine of Christ is Virtually Abandoned

On Max Lucado's website, he has written a series of articles; none that I found promote the DOCTRINE OF CHRIST...

http://www.maxlucado.com/articles/category/topical/

The Doctrine of Christ is critically important. Oak Hills Church claims to believe basic doctrines; such as the Godhead, virgin birth, sinless life, inspiration of the Scriptures, salvation by grace through faith, et cetera; but from 99% of everything they teach, promote and make visibly public, you'd never know what they believe. You shouldn't have to go dig for what they believe. They do this to thwart criticism and fool conservative Christian groups, such as Independent Fundamental Baptists. This is a tactic used by the Devil, i.e., by ecumenicals who claim to believe like true Christians; while promoting something entirely different throughout their works and ministries. It's not what ecumenical teach that is so dangerous; it is WHAT THEY DON'T TEACH!!! Once you understand this, then you'll see why they are so dangerous.

Read what the Bible has to say about the all-important Doctrine of Christ. 2nd John 2:9-10, “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed.” What exactly is the Doctrine of Christ? It is everything that the Bible teaches concerning the precious Savior; including, but not limited to, Jesus' deity, Godhead, eternal punishment for Christ-rejecters, virgin birth, sinless life, death, burial, bodily resurrection, literal blood sacrifice, bodily ascension into Heaven, and so forth. A ministry should preach these doctrines continually and without apology. From looking and reading Max Lucado's works, it seems that the Doctrine of Christ is a mere formality. Good luck finding anything about judgment or eternal punishment on the Oak Hills Church (which is a Church of Christ) website!

Max Lucado—Servant of the New World Order

Photo to right: Max Lucado's 2009, FEARLESS, clearly showing the Masonic pyramid. Just as Rick Warren, who is an Illuminati plant, so is Max Lucado. These are dangerous Ecumenical false prophets. Ecumenical meaning they want to unite all denominations in error; speaking the truth in one breath, while uniting with liars in the next.

America has been infected with dime-a-dozen, smiling, happy-go-lucky, imposters who claim to be proclaiming God's message. In reality, they are serving themselves, making millions-of-dollars from the ignorant public. In John 5:39 Jesus commanded for us to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES! Instead, people search for the latest New York Times Bestseller. These sinister ministers preach about love, joy, and forgiveness; BUT, they don't mention sin, Hellfire, judgment and repentance toward God! Oh sure, they mention some of this in their official doctrinal statement, buried in all their love and unity rhetoric; but it is all sinful compromise!

That Illuminati pyramid to the right says a thousand words!

The Great Pyramid is an occult symbol showing one's allegiance to the NWO. Far top left: Notice the audio CD cover by Church of Christ minister, Max Lucado. Satan is everywhere today!

Here's 6 more Max Lucado books with hidden Masonic Pyramids. The occult loves to hide symbols in plain view. The pyramid, I think, represents the unfinished tower and city of Babel.

Satan wants to finish what he started thousands of years ago, uniting mankind against God in Luciferian worship. Just as Nebuchadnezzar used an image (Daniel 3:5-7), and demanded worship at the sound of the music, so will the Antichrist do the same (Revelation 13:15). It is uncanny that we are seeing IMAGES all over the place today, in our faces, but hidden. There is no denying the use of the Illuminati pyramid, and here is an occult book which evidences this fact...

Named “America's pastor” in 2005 by Christianity Today, MAX LUCADO produced his New World Order FEARLESS in 2009. Notice the pyramid and the capstone (far left). Occultists like to hide their symbols in plain view to mock the stupidity of the public who are not enlightened. Occultists are arrogant, evil and haters of God. I'm not saying that Max Lucado is an occultist, nor a hater of God; but he is definitely a servant of the New World Order, promoting interdenominational unity (which means true Christians are being asked to unite with unsaved Catholics and other unbelievers in apostasy).

We are living in a generation that wrongly preaches forgiveness without repentance.  There can be no salvation without repentance.  Now, a person does not have to forsake their sins to be saved; but they do need to become GUILTY before God (Romans 3:19), realizing their condemnation under God's Law as a sinner and justly deserved penalty of Hellfire.  Repentance is a change of mind that causes us to turn to the Lord Jesus Christ to save us from our sins.  If a person is genuinely saved, then a changed-life should follow (2nd Corinthians 5:17; James 2:18).  Most people who claim to be "Christian" today are still hellbound in their sins.  They have churchianity without Christianity, religion without truth.

The preachers who Satan is promoting the most nowadays are the best “ear-ticklers.” 2nd Timothy 4:3 WARNS: “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears” (2nd Timothy 4:3). Max Lucado is an ear-tickler, just like Joel Osteen and Rick Warren.  They tell people what they want to hear, i.e., messages of health, wealth and prosperity. In Matthew 10:34 Jesus said, “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.” What does this mean? It means that the truth hurts! It means that the truth often causes church splits, family breakups and persecution for those who uphold it. The truth has few friends these days. Modernist preachers talk much about the word “truth”; but they speak lies of deceit.

Mr. Lucado was chosen by the Ecumenical Movement, which is led by Freemasons, to recruit people into their apostate one-world religious movement. Thousands of men and women have been selected. They have been promised fame, fortune and all of life's pleasures in exchange for selling out. This is why their books are always featured on the New York Times Best Seller List. Lucado has authored (or perhaps used a ghost author as many of them do), two books per year for the past 25-years. They're all filthy rich multi-millionaires from selling apostate books that lead people away from the Bible and the truth that really matters.

EVERY false prophet of the Ecumenical Movement walks around smiling; when they ought to be angry over sin with a sermon to preach. Joel Osteen is such a big phony. His girly-boy appearance and psychology-based sermonettes never get anybody saved. When I hear a pastor saying that he wants to increase his church growth from 10,000 up to 15,000... then I know he is going to sinfully compromise and trim his sermons to draw a wider base of apostates. Sad to say, it's all about money (1st Timothy 6:10). The more money successful people get, the more security they need, and thus more money and wealthy acquaintances.

A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

Max Lucado's church hides their official statement of faith on their website, but it is there nonetheless, to fool their Bible-believing critics. Many faithful Bible believers get stumped when everything that they hear, see and smell about a false prophet is rotten; but then his statement of faith looks perfect. That's a smokescreen cover-up. They know exactly what they are doing. It is evil.

Ecumenicalists, or what we sometimes call “neo-evangelicals” (new evangelicals) are notorious for speaking out of both sides of their mouth; saying one thing here, and something totally contradictory over there. Max Lucado's statement of faith seems pretty accurate; but 95% of all his public teachings are nothing more than lame, watered-down, wishy-washy, psychology-based, mumbo-jumbo, rubbish. Anything for money. He boasts of having refused a salary after taking over the church; while raking in MILLIONS of dollars selling books. It's all show 'N' tell for the New World Order.

Max Lucado uses corrupt Bibles, teachings corrupt theology, adheres to the corrupt Church of Christ philosophies, and is leading a generation of corrupt religious followers to worship the false prophet, who will praise the Antichrist when he comes. Just look at all the religious fools praising a wicked man like U.S. President, Barack Obama.

Conclusion

Max Lucado is extremely subtle. It is clear from his writings that he believes that any person who knowingly refuses to receive water baptism will not go to Heaven. He doesn't believe that a person is saved through water baptism. He does believe that a believer who is ignorant of baptism, who hasn't been baptized, may still go to Heaven. However, for those who do know better, and still refuse to receive water baptism, Lucado clearly believes that such a person is not saved. This is not the Gospel taught in the Holy Scriptures!

The truth of the matter is that water baptism has absolutely nothing to do with being saved. It is simply an ordinance that the Lord established, but NOT as a prerequisite for salvation. If it were a prerequisite to salvation, then the Apostle Paul and other writer's of the New Testament Epistles to the churches would have emphasized it. They didn't. The truth is that if a person believes on Jesus, trusting that Christ died for them on the cross and raised up the third day, they are saved.

Even if they knowingly refuse to give up their sinful lifestyle and go get dunked in a baptistery, they are still saved. Do you know why? It is because eternal life is a GIFT. It is a free gift (Romans 5:15; 6:23). Revelation 22:17 says that eternal life is freely received. The Bible is very clear on this subject. If you come as a SINNER and believe on the SAVIOR, your sins will be forgiven (Acts 10:43). Salvation is a TAKE proposition, not a GIVE proposition. We are saved by TRUSTING, not by TRYING. Have you completely rested in Jesus Christ? (Hebrews 4:10-11).

It is wrong for Max Lucado or anyone else to teach that baptism “seals our salvation.” Ephesians 1:13 clears this matter up, and identifies Mr. Lucado as a false prophet... “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise.” According to the Bible, each believer is sealed with the Holy Spirit the moment they believe. Water baptism is NOT mentioned. Water baptism does not seal our salvation! The Holy Spirit, Who comes to indwell us at the time of salvation, seals us!

In Acts 10:1-2 we read about a man named Cornelius, who feared God always, prayed and gave much money to the poor. Yet, Cornelius was unsaved, still in his sins without Christ. If he had died that way, he would have went to Hell forever. God appeared to Cornelius in a vision and told him to go meet the Apostle Peter. When he found Peter, the Apostle preached the Gospel to Cornelius in Acts 10:30-45. Peter never told Cornelius to do anything to be saved, not one thing. Peter simply preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ crucified on a cross and risen, which upon believing, Cornelius was saved. Amen!

Do as Jesus commanded in John 5:39 and SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES and you'll never be led astray by false prophets such as Max Lucado. I say this kindly, and with respect for Mr. Lucado as a person, but yet truthfully from the Scriptures.

Psalms:12:1, “Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.”
